Certification is awarded by B Lab, a nonprofit organisation that assesses companies based on their commitment to stakeholder impact, including how they treat employees, benefit local communities, and support environmental sustainability.

Here’s how we’re making a difference:
From sourcing eco-friendly materials to implementing circular economy principles, we’re reducing our environmental footprint and making a difference. We prioritise low-carbon materials, including low-carbon concrete and reclaimed timber, and partner with innovative suppliers to bring sustainable solutions to our clients. This commitment has helped us save over 10,500kg of CO₂ in recent our project, The Waterman.
Every project begins with understanding community needs. We’ve supported local charities through donations and hands-on volunteering, contributing to initiatives that promote mental health, reduce loneliness, and support homelessness. For instance, our project at The Waterman, donated £15,000 to local causes and engaged our team in hands-on volunteer activities.
We go beyond industry standards to track and reduce carbon emissions across all stages of a project. We’re working to reduce our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 90% by 2027 and have introduced a Sustainable Procurement Strategy to guide our supply chain toward greener practices.
Certified in ISO 45001 for health and safety, we ensure that our job sites and offices are safe for everyone. We actively promote mental well-being, providing Mental Health First Aiders on each site and participating in initiatives like the Lighthouse Charity’s awareness programs.

ISO 9001 Accredited
ISO 9001 is a global standard for quality management. It helps organisations to improve their performance, meet customer expectations and demonstrate their commitment to quality. Its requirements define how to establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve a quality management system (QMS). Achieving ISO 9001 means an organisation has put in place effective processes and trained staff to deliver flawless products or services time after time.
ISO 14001 Accredited
ISO 14001 is an international standard for environmental management systems (EMS). It helps organisations to continually improve their environmental performance through a more efficient use of resources, reduction of waste and greenhouse gas emissions. Achieving ISO 14001 means an organisation is taking proactive measures to minimise their environmental footprint, comply with relevant legal requirements, and achieve strict environmental commitments.
ISO 45001 Accredited
ISO 45001 is an international standard for occupational health and safety (OH&S) management systems. It provides a framework for organisations to manage risks and improve OH&S performance. The standard establishes criteria for an OH&S policy, with key elements including leadership commitment, worker participation, hazard identification and risk assessment, legal and regulatory compliance, emergency planning, incident investigation and continual improvement. Achieving ISO 45001 means an organisation has put in place effective systems to improve health and safety.
We are excited to announce that Ambit is the 2023 CCS Leading Lights Award Plastic Reduction category winner for our project on Eversholt Street! The Leading Lights Awards celebrate organisations, Sites and Ultra Sites registered with the Scheme, and individuals in their workforce, that have significantly raised the bar in being a considerate constructor, not just by following, but by going above and beyond the Code.
In 2023, we achieved a number of significant milestones, including becoming both a B Corp-certified business and a Construct Zero partner, reflecting our commitment to sustainable construction and social value. Our 2023 ESG impact report highlights some of our key sustainability achievements over the year.
We are so pleased to announce that we have officially become a Green Member of Waste Wise Kids, a non-profit organisation created by Encore Environment.
Kayleigh Nobbs, our Head of Design, participated in the panel “What is the place for the office in the new world of work?” at the Footprint+ conference, where she discussed the future of workplace design alongside industry expert Bertie van Wyk.
